State Whole Child Awards

The 2017 Whole Child Awards reflect the five tenets of ASCD’s Whole Child Initiative. Awards will be given to schools that show evidence of ensuring ALL students are safe, healthy, engaged, supported, and/or challenged. There is an award for each of the tenets. Awards will be presented within the recipients’ school district at a venue of their choice.

Outstanding Young Educator Award

The Washington State ASCD (OYEA!) is an education professional, 40 years of age or younger, who demonstrates exemplary commitment and exceptional contribution to the profession. This person’s creative and innovative accomplishments within the classroom, school, district, state, or region have had a significant impact on student performance and achievement over time and provide an ongoing model of excellence in encouraging all learners to succeed. The educator’s body of work consistently proves leadership among colleagues.
